I finally ordered from Amazon to try, since I can't find them in any local stores. I certainly don't regret it. They really do taste good and one bar and a bottle of water easily keeps me going for several hours. My last trip to the pistol range I skipped breakfast and had one of these, my day started at 9am and I didn't get to lunch until 2pm. I didn't feel hungry like I often do when skipping breakfast. So the bars definitely take care of hunger and let you focus on your task.Product Review: Great snack

I discovered this product several years ago when it was sold as "Hooah Bar". I'm not sure why the name was changed to "Soldier Fuel", but the bar hasn't changed a bit. The bar is chocolate with soy crisps. It lives up to the claims of slow sustained energy. I use it frequently on long bicycle rides where you may not pass a convenience store all day. I am self-employed and sometimes eating a traditional lunch doesn't fit my schedule. I keep several of these bars as lunch substitutes and they keep my hunger satisfied. The bar is not sold locally so I depend on Amazon as a reliable source for this product.Product Review: HOOAH!

I first had these while hiking at Philmont Scout Ranch on a trek. We had the real Hooah bar though, not soldier fuel... Anyway, it is the same mostly and really does a good job. I have them for breakfast.
