Customer Review: Better than the plug-in Heating pads

This is a good heating pad. I tried several of the plug-in Heating pads (SoftHeat and Conair brands) but none of them really got warm enough. You heat this pad in the microwave for one minute and 30 seconds. It maintains its heat for a short while, and you can always reheat it if it runs out. It is portable, as well. The only thing is that I would have liked the pad to be bigger, and to come with a tie of some sort that could hold the pad to my knee or my shoulder. All in all - much better than the electric heating pads, although you will notice that this only comes with a 2 year (as opposed to a 5 year for most electric heating pads) warranty. I am guessing that is bc the microbeads might become less effective as you heat and reheat them.
