This is basically just a piece of rubber which breaks the contact between skin and support belt; it doesn't do anything that a t-shirt can't take care of. Rather than provide any significant level of increased comfort, it increases sweat because it is not made from a breathable material. Not recommended.
Description of Soft Insert for Lumbar Support Belts
The soft insert is less supportive than the moldable insert but a simple alternative appropriate for many patients. 1/4" sponge rubber with an additional 1/8" pad in the center. Fits 8" or 9" retention belts.Braces & Supports
