I have been using Melatonin products for about 3 years and have found sleep right melatonin to work best. I take them about 1/2 before bed time and either sleep though the night very well or at least if I do wake up, I fall back to sleep easily most of the time. I had tried a few others in the past that just didnt work as well as this. the 5 mg dose seems just right.
Description of Sleep Right Melatonin 5 mg, 275 pills Time Released
Sleep Right Melatonin, uses a tri-phased release system designed to release melatonin into the body at strategic points over a 6 hour time frame. This is used to help increase the usefulness and absorption of the melatonin by the body. Approximately one third of it is released at the beginning and the second and third portions are time phased to help ensure a higher quality and consistent sleep pattern. Melatonin is a naturally produced by the human body and is used to help regulate efficient sleep patterns and is generally produced by the pineal gland in the human brain. Melatonin is also used to help regulate the body's sleep clock. The human body produces more during darkness and virtually stops producing it when the human body is exposed to daylight.
