I have been using the SinuPulse Elite Advanced Nasal Sinus Irrigation Systemfor about 18 months it has made a huge difference in the quality of my life. I use to be dependent on nasal sprays and drugs but since using the SinuPulse I have been able to avoid them and the frequent trips to the doctors office. A nice benefit that is not discussed enough is cold prevention. Since using the SinuPuse I have only had a cold once or twice when I use to get them often. I recently ordered an extra sinus tip for use with the personal model Water Pik (WP60) purchased at Walmart and it fits perfectly. Just check the water pik model before purchasing but I know Amazon lists the models the tip works with. When I was looking the two waterpik models I saw everywhere that this tip fits perfectly is the Personal and Family models (WP60/WP70). The Personal model is the least expensive and smallest which is great if you don't have a lot of room. I looked at the Ultra its the most expensive and comes with tips you will never use. Its big and takes up counter space.
A dirty little secret for anyone with an old water pik, the newer Ultra model, or even different brand that you can do easily at home to make the SinuPulse tip work is just cut off the end of one of the plastic jet tips where it comes to a point by about 1/8". Just enough where you still get the 45 degree angle but where you don't have the tiny hole in the end anymore. Once you have cut it off the hole will be bigger and then all you have to do is remove the SinuPulse silicone bulb and put it on the end of the modified tip. This way you can get virtually any water pik old, new, or different to work. Don't throw the stem away from the SinuPulse tip because at some point you may need to buy a new water pik and you can use it with that or better yet with the SinuPulse system which for my money is the way to go. If you have a water pik around the house and you want to try powered nasal irrigation order one of these. It will fit most models and the few that it doesn't just follow my directions and you will be good to go. Eventually, you will want to trade up to a SinuPulse system as I did. They now come with a two year warranty so you are well protected.
