Product Reviews of Simply Gargle Salt Water Rinse, 0.4-Ounce Ampules in 12-Count Boxes pack of 3Product Review: Money to Burn Summary: 1 Stars
I used to mix table salt with tap water, but why do that? It's almost free! I discovered this product, which I can pay much more for! Instead of being subjected to imprecise measurements and the whims of tap water, I can now pay through the nose, if I so desire. What with inflation and the fall of the dollar, I'm always looking for ways to throw away my money. Thanks, Simply Gargle Salt Water Rinse!

The idea to sell prepackaged gargles is a great idea, especially if you are pressured to go to work despite being sick. Moreover, brine solutions like this are prone to bacterial contamination once opened, so it makes sense to package them in individual use containers. When this product arrived I happened to have a sore throat so I tried the product a few times. The individual solutions are the perfect volume for gargling, however, the packages are extremely difficult to open. They seem more designed for shipping and inexpensiveness than for ease of use. The gargles taste pretty good, but they seemed pretty weak from a saltiness perspective. Unfortunately, it did not help my sore throat at all. I followed this experiment with a gargle of my own preparation: the standard saturated warm water/table salt that moms always recommend. The latter did the trick immediately. In conclusion, I say stay home from work and make your own salt solutions, you'll be happier that you did.
Product Review: Not bad for a salt water rinse... Summary: 3 Stars

First of all, I should say that I hate rinsing with salt water. I thought I would try this product though because rinsing your mouth with salt water is very good for you, especially since I sing so much; because of my singing I thought it would help my throat out. With this in mind I tried this product.
I liked the fact that it included Vitamin C, and other herb extracts to help sooth the throat, that attracted me to it. However, it was those very things that made my gag reflex go. Now, keep in mind I hate salt water, so it was mostly the salt water that made me gag, but also the taste of the witch hazel (which does not taste good). I would probably reccomend this to people who regularly rinse with salt water, but certainly not to people like me who cannot stand a super salty taste mixed with herby favors and witch hazel.
God Bless ~Amy
Product Review: Nothing to sneeze at. Summary: 5 Stars

Though this is not a product made to specifically treat alergy symptoms, it is in fact beneficial to those, like myself, that suffer from them. I am someone that could be sick for a week if I vacuumed without a mask. The result of such activity is beyond sneezing and congestion, it all begins in the throat. I know when I am going to be sick beforehand, as I get an ache in my throat. There are many triggers for this reaction, such as certain disturbing scents, the pollution hacked out by nicotine addicts, or a lovely bouquet of flowers. Since it's easy for me to run into this situation, having these handy packets of love are a welcomed addition to my life.
The ingredients read like a Simon & Garfunkel album, and whatever combination of stuff they put in this really does the trick. You don't need water, you just squeeze the liquid in your mouth, and gargle for about 30 seconds. In my case, the ache is gone quickly, and you really feel the lubrication of the herbal chaser. Primarily glorified salt water, yes, but this is about convenience of quality ingredients in your pocket. None of which you will find in the nearest public bathroom. The only puzzling ingredient is the Vitamin C. A great supplement if ingested, but after 30 seconds, you spit it out. So, I guess it sounds nice on the box. Or maybe I am just missing the point. It does not matter. It works.
Product Review: Portable, sanitary and easy to use Summary: 5 Stars

Salt water gargle for sore throats was the first home remedy my mother taught me. The thing was, I never quite got it right. I either got too much salt and felt like I'd just sandpapered the back of my throat or too little and had to gargle again. The pre-mixed vials make Simply Saline gargle easy to use and carry without mixing. It's a great idea particularly during cold and sore throat season.
ADDENDUM: My husband has the cold from h-e-double toothpicks and he's trying the gargle for the first time. He likes it, but what irritates him is that the packaging is hard to get into. He'd deduct a star from this rating for that reason.
