This product is exactly what it presents itself to be: salt water gargle in a small, take-along pouch. I'll leave it to your medical professional to advise you of the possible benefits of gargling with salt water. But if you want to do so, this product provides a simple, convenient way of doing it.
The taste is... well, like salt water, with a few other miscellaneous things thrown in. Not exactly a great flavor, but you weren't expecting that, were you? It does taste a little odd, but the flavor didn't linger once I was done.
Some reviewers have noted their difficulty in opening the package. That's because they're not following the directions. You aren't supposed to tear the bag open. As noted on the packaging, you just TWIST the top of the package off. It's easy to do, although it did spill a little of the liquid when I opened it.
Whether or not this is preferable to warm salt water that you can easily mix on your own... That's up to you to decide.

The salt-water gargle is a classic remedy for a sore, inflamed, or irritated throat. The Simply Gargle pouches make this remedy easy to use with pre-measured, pre-mixed quantities infused with various healthful herbs and vitamins.
I haven't yet had a chance to try this when I'm actually sick, but in casual use it left my throat pleasantly soothed. Unlike my home salt-gargles, the taste/after-taste is not overly salty.
The twist-off top for each pouch might be a little difficult for those with clumsy hands or arthritis, otherwise the package is quite easy to use. Twist-off, squeeze into your mouth, gargle, rinse, discard the package.
The last step might be the biggest issue for the ecologically responsible; the heavy duty packaging on each pouch, plus the plastic each dozen comes in equals a lot of throw-away material.
For that reason, I don't think I'd normally use this product at home. I would use this item on the go: I've tucked a few pouches into my travel kit. Keeping a few at the office might be good, also. But at home, mixing my own (with no throw-away waste) is easy enough.
Rated four stars since it works as advertised and tastes reasonable, but has a large amount of packaging for a simple solution.

Simply Gargle is a interesting product, It's an old remedy that can be carried around in a very handy pouch. No need to add water. All you have to do is simply twist off the top and gargle, Use it at the first sign of a sore throat because the natural ingredients such as Vitamin C, Rosemary, salt and witch hazel with naturally help your sore throat go away. I found the taste to be not to overpowering and a bit refreshing. I would recommend this product if you're always on the go and need to treat a cold or a sore throat.Product Review: Can't complain -- it does what it says

This is basically a salt / bicarbonate gargle, and so far as that goes, it seems just fine to me. I haven't used them all, but the product seems to be a good one. Very convenient, too.
UPDATE: Now I've had the chance to use the product with the flu, which both my wife and I have recently suffered. The gargle really is helpful with sore throat. It's definitely good to have on hand.

As others have mentioned, this product tastes a bit strange and takes a bit of getting used to. The major benefit is that you can strategically leave some salt water gargle in places you frequent, like your office and your car, for times when you feel a sore throat coming on and would otherwise have to wait until you got home to do something about it.
A great product to have during cold and flu season!
