Product Reviews of Silipos Softzone Pure Gel Gel Metatarsal Pad #10465 - Each

Product Review: One size does not fit all
Summary: 2 Stars

I bought these to help solve what I have self diagnosed as Morton's Neuroma. The numbing, burning, feeling between the 3rd and 4th toes while doing exercise or walking barefoot.

Positive: When i'm walking around normally, these seem to help in shoes, but not barefoot or slippers/sandals. They move around a lot, and unless your socks are very tight fitting, they will not stay in place.

Negative: I have a big foot. I'm size 12 mens and the motion of walking makes the pad move around from behind the metatarsals, onto the ball of my foot. Because my foot is on the large size, ANY movement of the pad moves it into an incorrect position. I think this pad may work better for someone with smaller feet.

EXERCISE: I bought these for running and riding my bike. They have not been helpful for either. They move around a lot during any activity more than a below sweat walk and become bunched up under my toes or slide to the ball of my foot where it does nothing for Morton's Neuroma and just feels like a bunched up sock. I could make it effective if I stopped every 1/2 mile to adjust it.

They are made of rubber and if you sweat at all on your feet, it moves around all over the place and becomes a nuisance.

If you are buying this for athletic purposes, i would buy something that stays in place a little better.

Just for around the house/office, the should be ok

Product Review: Painful to wear with any kind of heels
Summary: 2 Stars

I bought these intending to wear them with my boots (which are about 3 inches and painful for the ball of my feet). They took away the pain at the ball of my foot but the pad slides upward while walking(which I do for pretty much 4 hours straight at work). Which makes it painful for the toe I wear it around. I even wear socks with them and that doesn't help either. It makes the toe very stiff later. I wouldn't recommend them for people who just want to wear heels comfortably.

Product Review: Gel pads didn't reduce the Morton's neuroma pain
Summary: 2 Stars

Cons: We purchased the Metatarsal Pad in order to reduce the pain of Morton's Neuroma. This type of pad was suggested to us by a physician. Both of us tried the pads several times while walking and determined that they were uncomfortable around the toe (which is stiffened a bit) and on the neuroma. It didn't mitigate the neuroma pain, in fact it made the area uncomfortable. They were expensive compared to drug store footpads, some of which have a pad at the ball of the foot.

Pros: The toe hold did secure the pads in place and because of that you could use the pads in different shoes. They weren't a problem under our socks. You don't have to stick a pad to the bottom of each shoe. The gel had a nice feel.

Product Review: Pads tore
Summary: 3 Stars

Pads tore about inch and half toward the inner concentric rings. I overlapped duct tape on the outside about 1/4 inch and continue to use them.....though not as often. I average 40 to 50 running miles week. They do seem to help the tingling and numbness in my left foot (Morton's neuroma????).

Product Review: These pads work great
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought these foot pads for my husband who had terrible pain in the ball of his foot, and some burning in his toes. These pads were comfortable for him to wear, and gave him tremendous relief. I would recommend these pads to anyone-they do help.
