Got these for a relative whose hip surgery prevented her from bending to tie shoes. These turn her regular lace-up shoes into slip-ons, with the help of a long shoehorn. The first kind we tried were the coiled type, but they created bumps around the shoe tongue which hurt her feet. This kind is much more comfortable.
