So I just bought this today from Brookstone at the mall, and since I have been having back problems I figured no time like the present. I positioned myself in an incline position on my chaise, propped by pillows(the salesman said it was strong enough to work in a recliner so I improvised).
The massage was great, it felt VERY close to having someone back there kneading away the knots. When the shiatsu roller reached to a trouble spot, there is a "stop" button that you can hit to let it stay in that area(nice feature). It also was able to massage throught the neck, this feature I didn't feel at the store but perhaps felt because of the incline. All in all, great.
I do miss the feature of the vibrating seat topper. If you have ever had one of those vibrating massagers the zones go from your back through your thighs. Unfortunately the "seat zone" is just decoration on the shiatsu massager. All of the action happens in the back and neck area. I must say, it would have been exceptional IF this massager had something going on in the "seat zone", the salesman said there is a chair that has that feature for the bargain price of 3,000 dollars. I am not there yet, but I look foward to it.
