Wow. I've been using shaving creams (Barbasol) and gels (Gilette, Edge Progel) since I started shaving, and didn't know what I was missing until I switched to safety razor shaving and added this cream to my kit. The cream is light and has just a hint of soapy fragrance (I got the unscented version). You only need a tiny amount (like half a teaspoon) to make a lot of lather; it froths up nicely in a mug/bowl and stays put on your brush. Razors glide over it smoothly, and it washes off really well too (cheaper creams tend to either disintegrate or stick to your sink in big puffy clumps).
Even if you shave every day, this (5 oz) jar should last several months, and is well worth the investment.
