I am a deaf person and used to waking up to things that vibrate. Unfortunately, it's vibration is too weak to wake me and instead of saving $10 buying this one over the shake awake, I actually threw away $20 as I have to buy the shake awake now anyway. Not only is the vibration too weak to wake you, but the alarm, to the best of my knowledge, stops itself and does not continue vibrating until you turn it off. Silly me, I bought this alarm clock for it's cheap price, cuteness, backlight, closing cover, and pillow clip. Don't be fooled.
