Product Reviews of Seventh Generation Trash Bags, Tall Kitchen, 13-Gallon, 20-Count Boxes (Pack of 12)Product Review: Great trash bags Summary: 5 Stars
We try to get products that are as eco-friendly as possible, whenever we can. As a family of four, we typically have to change our 13-gallon kitchen trash can at least once a day. So with the store-brand regular trash bags, that meant we were feeling pretty guilty. So we decided to give the Seventh Generation bags a shot and took advantage of subscribe and save as well.
We are very happy with these bags. They hold up pretty much as well as any other bags, at least those not specifically designed to stretch to their limits without breaking. If you put these bags through a rigorous test, you'll see they'll fail at a certain point just like any other bag, but for regular everyday use, they're very good.
And if you can get them through subscribe and save, it's even better because you can stock up and save money all while you feel a little less terrible about the throwing out the things you can't recycle.
Product Review: Love Recycled Plastic Summary: 5 Stars
These are useful and green. They carry medium weights fine - normal kitchen waste. Glad bags won't leave you feeling like you helped the environment. Seventh Genaration will.
Product Review: Not bad! Summary: 4 Stars
As other reviewers have mentioned, these aren't the strongest bags you've ever used. But, if you're buying these in bulk because you like the idea of creating a market for recycled plastics, you probably won't mind doubling up for bigger jobs. I don't.
My assumption, which could well be incorrect, is that creating demand for these will lead to improvements that will yield a stronger bag. Until then, I'll double up when I have to. Not that buying these makes that big a dent in the landfills or anything much...
Product Review: Not for heavy stuff Summary: 2 Stars
These bags work pretty well as long as you're not placing heavy items in them. I have three litter boxes that I clean often.Placing the used cat litter in this bag, along with the lighter trash, then trying to pull the bag out of my kitchen trash can to dump it in the outside bin results in it tearing every time. The Glad ForceFlex bags never had this problem.
Product Review: Product was defective, but otherwise good Summary: 4 Stars
For the price you really can't beat these, and you're helping save our earth. However, I ordered a case and half the boxes in there were defective - the bags were sealed at the top. Thankfully Amazon has amazing customer service and there was no hassle what-so-ever in getting replacements. The bags are a little on the thin side, but honestly, every other bag I've tried - even those force flex, teflon, etc - all rip. So if the highly-marketed brands are going to rip, why not get these instead and deal with the few rips while protecting our earth a bit!
