Product Reviews of Seventh Generation Toilet Bowl Cleaner, Emerald Cypress & Fir Scent, 32-Ounces Bottle (Pack of 8)

Product Review: Good product, Bad shipping
Summary: 3 Stars

I really like the cleaner, but during shipping, two of the bottles were not properly sealed. When I opened the box, the cleaner had saturated the inside of my shipment. Instead of a pack of 8, I only ended up with 6. I'm guessing this was a unique instance, but be prepared for them to spill if you order them!

Product Review: Great toilet bowl cleaner!
Summary: 5 Stars

Seventh Generation's toilet bowl cleaner is just like Clorox except it's good for the environment and Seventh Generation does not test on animals! It also doesn't have that strong bleach smell. Yuck! I am a huge animal lover and won't support the companies that test on animals. Well, that leaves me to stop buying from so many companies (Proctor and Gamble, Johnson and Johnson, Kimberly-Clark, Church & Dwight, SC Johnson, Clorox, etc). I love 7th generation and HIGHLY recommend their products. I'll be a customer for life.

Product Review: Had no shipping problems
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great product. And it smells wonderful. The shipment came nicely packaged. All the caps were closed. No problems with spills.

Product Review: I think that it's pretty good
Summary: 4 Stars

Ok, I read the other reviews about bad shipping, well, I didn't actually buy this from amazon, so I have nothing to say there. As far as the product goes, I like it. My toilet never seems to get particularly gross, but it cleans it well. I notice that I get some black stuff (mold?) under the rim especialy, and it gets rid of all of that gunk, plus removes hard water stains pretty well. My mom uses this too, but she says she doesn't care for it (her toilet gets very gross, though.) I like the fact that it doesn't have a harsh chemical smell. In fact, it smells quite pleasent. So, overall, I would say that if that for normal toilet cleaning, this is great. I would consider something else for extra- nasty toilets.

Product Review: No petrochemicals, confusing safety labeling
Summary: 4 Stars

Pros:
This product has a specific ingredients list so you can decide for yourself if you think it's safe.
It contains ingredients that are not poisonous, though it isn't meant to be consumed, of course.
No petrochemicals, no dyes, and biodegradable (though I don't know how quickly it biodegrades).
On regular stains, it cleans fast and well. (Mineral scale is another story; it's average in that department. Of course, regular commercial cleaners haven't done much to help either. I'm still seeking a solution for that...)
The label claims the product is nontoxic.
My husband likes the scent.

Cons:
Despite the safety labeling, it also states that a physician should be consulted if this touches the skin, eyes, or if it is ingested. This creates some confusion. I'm still unsure what would happen if, God forbid, the phone rings while I'm cleaning and the dogs go in there and drink out of the commode.
I expected it to smell a bit more "piney," but it smells like a tyoical cleaner to me. My husband liked it; I didn't particularly care for it.

Will I use it still? Yes. I bought the 8-pack because I still believe it's better than commercial cleaners for our health, my pets and the environment, while it cleans like the big boys. In my opinion it outclasses the toxic cleaners.

I like the product.
