I've been trying to switch our household over to "green" products, but only if they're as good as regular products. This one doesn't quite measure up. I think they're fine, but I'm not a big paper towel user (I use washcloths or napkins), but my husband is disappointed with the quality of the paper towels. They're not quite as absorbent, which means you have to use more to get the job done, which defeats the purpose of being environmentally friendly. Plus, each roll of paper towels seems pretty small, which means you have to keep changing rolls, which is annoying - and again defeats part of the purpose - saving resources (wastes paper towel rolls). Also, seventh generation should have half sheets like some of the commercial brands do, so that if you have a small mess you don't waste a whole paper towel.Product Review: seventh generation paper towel

Granted other national brands of paper towels are softer and thicker and maybe even tear easier along the perforation, nonetheless this product gets the job done. I limit my use of paper towels for environmental reasons anyway but I beg of you germ-o-phobes out there that use paper towels for everything to switch to an environmentally friendly product. Its a small sacrifice to make for the good of Mother earth.Product Review: solid

I have been buying Seventh Generation paper products from Amazon for the last couple of years. I last bought these paper towels in April 2008 and the price now in August 2008 is $10 more. I just can't imagine WHY the price has jumped so significantly. I will look elsewhere.
