Product Reviews of Seventh Generation Paper Towels, White, 2-Ply Sheets, 3-Count Packages (Pack of 10)

Product Review: Surprisingly Good
Summary: 5 Stars

Seventh Generation Paper Towels / B000C7SSSC

I love these paper towels. They are a little rougher than the commercial towels, but I actually feel that they pick up messes better because they are rougher. I like the fact that they are recycled, and I haven't had any trouble tearing them off at the perforations. I also haven't needed to use more of the natural paper towels to clean up messes. Really, the change over to these towels has been very painless, as I don't notice much of a difference, but these are recycled, so that makes me happy.

Product Review: They are decent towels
Summary: 4 Stars

They are paper towels. Not as thick as Bounty, but that's been okay.

The thing I do not like is that they do not tear at the perforation very well at all. Consistently.

Otherwise we like them and we love the environmentally friendliness of them (as much as disposable paper products can be)!

Product Review: Thicker and stronger than the Natural, expensive
Summary: 4 Stars

I tried both the bleached white and the brown natural versions of these towels and I BY FAR prefer the white; not because of the color, but because you get more for your money.
The white towels are not as soft feeling as your grocery store preferred brands. They actually feel rather rough; but they are quite strong and lint free. Both versions are the same size towel, about 1/3rd smaller than your standard papertowel. The brown version feels much thinner and is not nearly as strong. On both, the perforations are not cut very well and it's nearly impossible to tear off a single sheet. I can use the white towel and hang it on my kitchen faucet to dry and use it again; not so with the brown version.
I'd buy the white towel again, but I wouldn't buy the brown natural towel.

Product Review: Vegans Beware...
Summary: 1 Stars

...you ought to know that Seventh Generation uses whey when processing their recycled paper (to remove glue from post-it notes, etc).

Product Review: Very Disappointed
Summary: 1 Stars

I love buying "green" products and recycled products. These paper towels are the worst ever. I absolutely hate them. I would send them back if it was worth the shipping. As soon as they are even slightly moist they fall apart and disintegrate. We don't use baby wipes, instead we use paper towels and plain water to clean our toddler and 5 year old boys. These are terrible for that purpose. Even if we use four or five towels at once they fall apart and are useless. Wiping up spills produces the same effect. If we are using these for dry messes these towels are horrible. I won't buy these again.
