They are not exactly like their less environmentally conscious cousins, but they work for most things, the bigger spills I use a regular kitchen towel. If you are anything like me, I go through loads of paper towel. I bought this product to try to help the environment more. I was surprised how good it is. It's as soft as the other brands and the price isn't bad. Would definitely buy it again.
