Product Reviews of Seventh Generation Paper Towels, White, 2-Ply Sheets, 3-Count Packages (Pack of 10)

Product Review: Great Product!
Summary: 5 Stars

I highly recommend these paper towels, first for the high post-consumer recycled content and second because they are just good paper towels. I tried Trader Joe's paper towels because they were cheaper, but they were very flimsy and I had to use a lot more of them. These are fairly sturdy and thick. I have several animals, so my paper towels get a work out. Some of the negative reviews I have read on them are way off base.

Product Review: Great for the Environment???
Summary: 2 Stars

Papertowls are not good for the environment.. Even if they are recycled. Use a regular reusable towel. Purchasing them online only makes it worse. The packaging and shipping more than destroys any benefit the environment gets by buying this "green product".

Product Review: Great idea in a not so great form.
Summary: 2 Stars

I really like 'green' products and use quite a few of them. And though I know I am saving trees, among other things, I can't help but wonder if I *really am* saving much of anything when I have to use 3 or 4 sheets of a product that I other wise would have to use one sheet of. It *still* takes energy to produce these paper towels and if I am having to use 3 times more of it over another product, then I have problems believing it is really accomplishing much as using more means more waste as well (not good for our earth either), not to mention the irritation factor.

I reach for these in a *quick need* situation and especially if my hands are already wet, I end up with only a piece of towel in my hand, where as if I use the 'regular' towels if I pull off a sheet, I get a sheet. This paper towel is not strong, or very absorbent. I would be more than happy to pay a little more if I felt I were actually helping the environment, but I just feel with using 3 times as much of a product to accomplish what one of something should accomplish is just not saving anything for anyone. I really *want* to be happy with these, but just not happening.

So thought I have to give it 5 stars for the green effort, I feel I have to give it 2 stars for *actual usability* of this product. The only thing these paper towels really has going for it is that it *is* a green product.

Product Review: Great product
Summary: 4 Stars

These work just as well as your average bleached paper towels as far as absorption and durability goes. I have used the unbleached version of these paper towels and found them to be far to stiff and not very absorbent. One gripe is that to tear off a square you have to be careful or you end up with an uneven piece, not a big deal but kind of annoying.

Product Review: High quality, eco-friendly paper towels
Summary: 5 Stars

Seventh Generation makes one of the best quality Eco-friendly paper products available. Of all the brands on the shelves of my "health food stores", Seventh Generation is a reliable pick. One of, if not the best. These paper towels are no exception.
