Product Reviews of Seventh Generation Paper Towels, Natural, 2-Ply Sheets (Pack of 30)Product Review: WORST paper towels Summary: 1 Stars
I ordered these because I appreciate the idea of using recycled paper, however, these are the absolutely worst paper towels I've ever tried. They are not very absorbent, so you wind up using a lot more than you would with any other brand. And you feel like you are just moving water around. And they are rough.
I was trying to be environmentally friendly, but it is not good for the environment that I had to use three to four paper towels in the place of one.
Product Review: Wish I still used these Summary: 4 Stars
These are overall great - work well for most uses, can go in your compost bin after use if not used with chemicals, and are recycled. I agree with the reviewer who wishes they were scored like the Brawny towels. I rarely use these now though as we got cloth napkins, and use cloth rags for most cleaning, but if you like the convenience of paper they are very useful.
Product Review: Worst paper towels I have ever used Summary: 1 Stars
We try to use "green" products, particularly non-bleached, as much as possible. I love many other 7th Generation products & had high hopes for these. They are the worst. I have to use 4x the amount of normal paper towels because they are not very absorbent. I joked with my husband that tree bark would be better. I finally got through the case I foolishly ordered and will never use these again. I'm hoping to find another, better green alternative.
Product Review: Would have been 5 star except for the shipping Summary: 3 Stars
First I want to say that I think that products that are recycled or environmentally safe deserve a five star review no matter what. I do have issue with the way seventh generation sends out its products. I recieved a 30 pack of paper towels that looked as if it had been used as a tackling dummy. Now, having said that, they are just towels and I don't really care no damage done. On reading other reviews I have noticed that others report the same condition for some of thier packaging as well. As I said before, with towels no big deal, liquid soaps and detergents are another matter. If we're trying to globally cut down on waste then either better packaging or a more gental carrier service is needed since if you get a case of six bottles of detergent and two or three are crushed or have a hole in them stuff is obviously wasted and yet another replacement package needs to go out that may suffer the same fate. I realize that to keep costs down this shipping is what it is, but with so many people now seeing the advantages of going "Green" shouldn't consideration now be thrown into safe delivery of our eco friendly products? Maybe I'm just whistling in the wind but at some point there has to be a better way!
Product Review: don't bother Summary: 1 Stars
These towels are pitiful. NOT aborbent. Not flexible. Not strong. Like wiping up a spill or cleaning a counter with a post-it. And I only have myself to blame for buying a whole case. Thought I was being earth-friendly. You know what would be more friendly? Use rags. That's what I'm going to do. As to the enormous case of these in my basement: perhaps ebay? I certainly can't donate them. That wouldn't be friendly either...
