Product Reviews of Seventh Generation Paper Towels, Natural, 2-Ply Sheets (Pack of 30) [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging]Product Review: Not Absorbent Enough Summary: 2 StarsThese paper towels at first sounded like a great idea, but I have found that they are not that absorbent. More paper towels are used for a clean-up job than what would have to be used on a standard Scott's or Bounty towel. When these towels get wet they become very waterlogged and so their capacity to pick up spilled liquids is very limited.
I was initially intriqued by the thought of helping to spare the environment by using recycled paper towels, but the benefit is probably eliminated when more of the towels have to be used for the same job. Perhaps if this company made the towels in a higher ply this concern could be addressed.
Product Review: Eco & Health Friendly Summary: 5 StarsIf you can get these with free shipping, it is well worth buying in bulk. They use no chlorine to bleach the paper towels, so they are both ecological and family-health friendly. Also, I have noticed that the rolls are bigger and the towels thicker than when I buy them individually at Whole Foods. When they offer free shipping, we stock up!
Product Review: 7th Generation Paper Towels Summary: 5 StarsThey're durable, made of post-consumer recycled paper fiber and unbleached, everything this consumer sought from a paper towel. The bulk buy dropped the cost to a reasonable per unit price. Not as absorbant as some might prefer and they're not cushy soft. But they do the job just fine to suit me.
Product Review: 7th generation Paper Towels Summary: 5 StarsThis is a great product. We have been using these for about 8 years. Amazon used to have the cheapest price, but the rates have gone up a bit. Make sure that you get the free shipping or you can get them cheaper offline.
Product Review: Tree Free - Reduces Lots of Pollution Summary: 5 StarsIt may take 2 sheets to blot up as much liquid as Bounty, but it takes zero trees. It creates a market for waste paper which otherwise would be thrown in the garbage. It also saves a ton of water and creates no dioxins like chlorine bleached paper towels do. And dioxins are among the deadliest poisons on the planet. If you care about your children this stuff is a no-brainer. Everytime you purchase it, we all win.
