Product Review: Top Performing "Green" Laundry Detergent

This laundry detergent by Seventh Generation lives up to its claims that it is biodegradable, non-toxic, and hypoallergenic. It is great for sensitive skin and does a good job of cleaning all washable clothes.
The ingredients are water, corn and coconut based surfactants, glycerin, nonanimal-derived enzymes, natural water softener, borax, sodium gluconate, salt, and preservatives.
In short, this green-friendly product does the job well that it claims to do.

If you have a new HE machine (front loading), this is wonderful. I've found I can use the only powder type in mine (1 tblsp) and it works, but this is better.
Free & Clear is wonderful for not assaulting the senses, and now the centses, it cleans well, doesn't fade clothing. Excellent product, thanks 7th Generation!

I have three kids and it's taken care of all the stains they've created as well as anything else I've tried. I'm very pleased with how well it cleans and rinses out. I've noticed a difference in the suds this detergent makes... they definately wash off easier. Overall a great product.
