Product Reviews of Seventh Generation Natural Fabric Softener, Blue Eucalyptus and Lavender Scent, Ultra-Concentrated, 40-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 6)Product Review: Smells very nice, natural, fresh scent Summary: 5 StarsI have been using the Downy Lavendar Vanilla scented fabric softener. I saw this at a great price on Amazon and decided to try it. My box had a tiny bit of leakage. The smell and the soft feeling it leaves on my clothing is wonderful. I have front loaders and it works fine with my he detergent (also Seventh Generation or Method brand). I recommend this scent all year round and I hope the price stays reasonable on Amazon so that I can buy another case!
Product Review: Nice softening power, but a little low on scent Summary: 4 StarsI decided to try this fabric softener in the hopes of doing something good for the environment while keeping my laundry static free and with a nice scent. While the fabric softerner accomplishes the first goal of eliminating static, it has a much weaker scent than traditional, chemically-based brands. When used in conjunction with the "Blue Eucalyptus and Lavender" detergent by the same brand, the scent is a bit more pronounced. However, don't purchase this product with the expectation of a strong scent that a perfume would provide, because it's not going to happen. I am satisfied with the product as a whole, because it softens my clothes and does not use harsh solvents or other chemicals. At that time of my purchase, the price at Amazon was also significantly lower than at Whole Foods and similar stores that sell this brand.
Product Review: Soft but static Summary: 3 StarsThought I would try this product when it went on sale as environmentally friendly is a goal for me.
It works well as a softener, but I have more static in my clothes than with commercial softeners.
I have an issue with the product packaging. It would be helpful if the company differentiated more between the detergent and softener. I have to stop and take a close look every time to make sure I am picking up the right product and even used the softener instead of detergent once. Yes, one is white and the other translucent, so they aren't the 'same'. But how hard would it be to enlarge the print stating 'softener' or 'detergent'. This may not be a problem to young eyes, but for me it is close to a deal breaker.
One other note. If you are allergic to any soy products, do not use this. Itching guaranteed.
Product Review: Excellent value Summary: 5 StarsSmells pretty strong out of the bottle but leaves just a hint of fragrance on clothes.
Very good value.
Product Review: Smells wonderful!!! Summary: 5 StarsI've done 3 loads of laundry with this fabric softener, and so far so good! I LOVE the smell, although I wish the scent was stronger on my clothes after they've dried. In addition to adding the softener to the washing machine, I put some of it on a washcloth and threw it in the dryer with my wet clothes. The scent was a little more noticeable on this load than on the load where I only added it to the washer. I also did this when I washed and dried a blanket made out of polyester that always has static electricity. While the static electricity wasn't completely gone, it did help it considerably. There was no static electricity with any of the other things I washed and dried.
Straight out of the bottle, this fabric softener smells MUCH better than any leading fabric softener. The scent of other fabric softeners (even ones that have added scent) just smell like chemicals to me and make me nauseous. I love that this fabric softener is good for the environment, and, as a vegetarian, I'm glad it's made without the use of animal by-products.
