Product Reviews of Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Baby Diapers, Stage 1 (8-14 Lbs.), 44 Count (Pack of 4)Product Review: Very good Summary: 5 Stars
I really liked these diapers. They didsn't give any rash to my baby. Unfortunately, my baby grew out of this size too quickly and I have quiet a few left over. It would be nice if there is smaller package size available.
Product Review: Very nice diapers Summary: 4 Stars
These diapers do not leak very much for us, and we've been using them for the last 3 or 4 weeks.
The one caveat I will present is that if using them on a newborn, it's hard to tell if he or she urinated or not. For that we were happy to use the Huggies brand diapers with the wetness indicator.
Once our guy was a little older, about a month old, he was urinating enough that it was easy to tell. We switched to these since they're a little nicer for him and potentially the environment, and they've worked quite nicely.
Product Review: What the....? Summary: 1 Stars
I just got my second shipment of stage 1 for my two month old. This is a different diaper. It is thinner, the tabs are no longer elaticized so it isn't flexible when she wiggles, and it is cut crooked- meaning the whole thing appears to have been run through the diaper-making-machine unevenly so it looks sloppy when it's on. In addition to this, it is more expensive! I have a whole case-full to find out about the capacity for wetness (the old ones were great). Why would Seventh Generation create such a poor product when they had such a great reputation? I won't be able to buy these again. Chlorine free or no, it has to work.
Product Review: Wished I like them more Summary: 2 Stars
I like the idea of these diapers more than their design. It's great that Seventh Generation does not use bleach. Love it. Bleach is horrible for the environment and for the humans that live downstream. But they are not as absorbent as Pampers and they don't fit as well either. We even had a batch that the velcro tabs kept coming off. I'm disappointed. I had hoped we'd found a greener alternative to Pampers, Huggies, etc. But they just don't work as well. We're going to use BumGenius 3.0 and use disposable (boo! hiss!) Pampers for overnights and travel.
Product Review: best so far Summary: 5 Stars
We used these diapers with our daughter 4 years ago, now using again with our son. We really liked them before but I remember sometimes the tabs would tear off the sides. So we actually started with Earth's Best this time. They were OK but every wet diaper led to little pieces of the gel core leaking out onto my newborn's skin. We tried the SG diapers again and realize they must have improved their quality control. So, no tears, no leaks, no "blow-outs" breached-and believe me, he has provided ample opportunity to test a diaper's ability to contain a blow-out. Also, no fragrances and no diaper rash. The Subscribe and Save makes this highly economical.
