Here's the dtright scoop: It is helping to save trees and it's soft enough and absorbant enough. But it's not the softest. It is very strong, as good as any. It has two sides, one smother and softer than the other. The only way to get this product is to get it shipped regulalry at the 15% discount. In my search for high quality products from responsible companies at reasonable prices, this is a long standing favorite.
The 500 sheet, 2-ply rolls last a long time and get the job done. I have tried many other recycled toilet paper products only to find they fall apart or are so short or "fluffed up" they only make it a day in our household. These rolls fit on our regular holder and make it several days per roll. Seventh Generation's product is not quilted, but I have no complaints about texture.
Purchasing the product as the pack of 48 saves me time and money. Buying by the case brings the per roll cost down to a comparable level to other high quality brands. I've even gone so far as to calculate per sheet costs and this is the best value I've found. We have two bathrooms and I split the case between the two. Then I can forget about it for months.
Also important to me is the fact that Seventh Generation is one of the most responsible companies on the planet, not just for the environment, but for most aspects of corporate responsibility. They are constantly working to improve their products and seek out customer feedback.
I would recommend this product to just about anybody.

This is my favorite toilet paper. Not scratchy, or ugly, but still good for the environment. I like it even better than the non-recycled stuff I used to use. This stuff is strong and absorbant and it doesn't fall apart when you need to scrub.Product Review: Good to Great product, decent price

The rolls were smaller than I expected them to be because it's just not as fluffy as premium brands of toilet, but it is certainly soft enough and far, far more comfortable than cheaper, generic brands. Given how we're punishing our planet, I'm pleased to buy something I don't have to feel ashamed about. Plus, it's a little less expensive than what I've found locally. (which makes me feel guilty about not buying locally) But it's something I'll definitely order again. (Even though the image the name of the product conjures up is a little disturbing.)Product Review: Good, but not Softest!!

This is not as soft as Charmin, however this is better for the environment!! I do not mind using it as our everyday toilet paper. It does the job without falling to pieces or being irritating!!
