Product Review: Hard Water? No Problem.

I'm a working mom with a 6-month-old baby, which means constant cleaning of bottles, pacifiers, toys, baby spoons, and highchair tray in addition to our regular dishes. We use Seventh Generation for a lot of our baby products, and Melaleuca for our cleaning products. It's so important to clean the items that you eat from with people-friendly products. We're complex biological creatures, and the ingredients around us absolutely make a difference to our health and wellbeing. We ran out of Melaleuca dishwasher detergent and quickly subbed with Seventh Gen, and I won't be switching back! We have ridiculously hard water in our house, and a crappy old dishwasher. Back when we used Cascade we would constantly have to run items again, and the bottles would come out smelling like milk. Yuck. The Seventh Gen left our dishes sparking and clean; I foolishly didn't read the hard water instructions the first time we used it, but amazingly, it was no problem for this product. I use it without a drying agent, and it's just fine. Even when my husband overloads the dishwasher, it works great. Granted, the price is a little high (ok a lot high), but with Amazn's subscribe and save, it's much more reasonably priced.Product Review: Hard water? Don't bother.

This soap did not dissolve in our hard water. It left dirt and soap all over the dishes. I hate to waste an entire box of soap as well as the water to wash a load of dishes, but that's what happened. Ecover seems fine with the hard water.Product Review: Have to handwash after use

I didn't buy this from Amazon but I still had to leave feedback here because this product was sooo bad, We use a lot of Seventh Generation (and Mrs. Meyers and Shaklee's, etc.). We ran out of our Shaklee dishwasher powder detergent so I bought some Seventh Generation to replace it. It left massive amounts of soap scum. To the point where my dishes were cleaner when I put them in dirty! And then I would try to run those dishes in there over again and they were still bad. And then I hand-washed them and the soap scum still wouldn't come off! Suffice it to say, I am all for ecological, but I would never buy this product again. In fact, who wants a barely used box up for grabs?Product Review: Highly Recommend
