I've been using this detergent because I didn't want the risk of ingesting toxic chemicals left on the dishes. My dishes come out clean and I only fill the dishwasher cup 3/4 full and run the dishes on the speedy cycle. If I fill the cup completely fully, the dishes tend to have bits of detergent left behind. I purchased this for way less in Canada (Canadian Tire) about $5. I'm using tap water (hard water) and I have no problems with residue on the dishes although the bottom of the dishwasher has a slight film of hard water residue.Product Review: Great product

This detergent does a great job getting my dishes clean. I have used Cascade for years, but it has a very strong smell and almost always leaves food particles on the dishes. After making the switch to Seventh Generation my dishes are so much cleaner, and I rarely find any residue. I would recommend to anyone that is having problems with residue from the deterent to add a cup or so of vinegar into the dishwasher before you run it. It helps to dissolve any leftover detergent and also helps to clean the dishes.Product Review: Great product for the price

I use Seventh Generation products all the time. It can get a bit pricey though. Buying it in the 75 oz. 8-pk, I saved a lot of money. It comes out to $5 per box when I buy it in bulk from Amazon.Product Review: Great, but have to follow directions

I love this product. It cleans very very well and is great for the environment and my family's health. However, if you have soft water you MUST fill the cups less than full to have it clean effectively and remove all the powder residue from dishes. I also think the reviewer that speaks about product getting old on the shelf is onto something. I have problems more often when it is an older box that seems to have taken on moisture...the box clumps up a little and I have to shake it to break it up. Those seem to be the times I have more problems with some powder remaining. When I use less than half a compartment full it seems to clean the same and leaves no residue. Occasionally I have a tapered sippy cup or glass that needs rinsing out just to be sure, but if that is all I have to do for my part in helping the health of my family and the environment then I can do that.Product Review: Green, Safe, Healthy, and Works!

I needed a dishwasher powder for my portable dishwasher. With a baby on the way, I started looking for a phosphate-free, chlorine-free product. That's what I found. And it works really well with no residue. If your dishwasher needs powder, this is definitely the way to go.
