This detergent might be environmentally friendly, but its cleaning power has something to be desired. For baked-on, ground in messes, it does nothing. I am the type to let the sink fill up, rarely rinsing off dishes, then I fill the dishwasher. This detergent does not have the power to clean tough. I ran the dishes through twice with more detergent. Needs improvement.

Seventh Generation's Free & Clear Automatic Dishwashing Powder has NO chlorine and NO fragrances which can pollute the air in your home. Our new and improved formula to reduce spotting and filming in hard water, and granulated to ensure that it stays free-flowing, making it much easier to use. Independent tests show our auto dish powder cleans as well as the traditional leading brands but without phosphates or chlorine. No dyes or fragrances. Rinse aid recommended in areas with very hard water.
