Product Review: Not Sure What Happened - Used To Work

Well, we switched to more eco friendly products. Method and 7th Gen. are the products we use now. The cost of these items is prohibitive for what you get and what it saves from getting into the environment. In other words - it's worth the price!
However, this detergent just does not cut it. We used 4 bottles and all was well the first bottle. Second bottle things were a bit spotty and dirty. We chalked it up to dishes being too dirty. However, as time progressed - we basically had to start washing our dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. No thanks.
After switching back to Cascade - it seems our issues have been "washed away" so to speak. No problems.
I am all for saving the environment and eliminating harsh chemicals - but - when I have to waste more to get the same results - it's not worth it. If 7th gen. comes out with a better/reformulated product - I will try it again. Until then, I will have to stick with Cascade.

This detergent works well for cleaning the dishes but leaves a white residue behind. If you have dishes that don't collect water on the top, this product should be fine. If you have cups, glasses, etc that collect water on the top, then you will be disappointed with the white gunk leftover after the dishwasher completes its cycle.Product Review: Not ready for prime time...

I use and like many of Seventh Generation's products, and find most to be just as effective as the non-eco-friendly alternatives. This one, unfortunately, does not measure up. Bottom line, it does not get the dishes clean. Every load I've run with this stuff ends up with quite a bit of food residue on it. The only way to avoid it is to actually wash the dishes beforehand, which obviates the need for a dishwasher.Product Review: Not worth your money

Does not clean the dishes like the conventional dishwasher liquid used to. You have to reclean the dishes after they have been cleaned in the dishwasher. Would not recommend. I wish I didn't stock up on it :(
