Product Review: Works better than conventional dishwasher soaps

I switched to this dishwasher gel from Cascade and I love it!. It smells wonderful, is better for the environment and I don't have to worry about the chemicals left behind on my dishes like I did with other soaps/powders/tablets/gels...
We do have hard water, very alkaline, so we do still get water spots on the glasses, but that's not an issue of being unclean.
I rinse the dishes (not wash) before loading them, to get the bigger gunk off - our dishwasher is older and can't do it all anymore, but I have had no trouble with this dishwasher gel itself. I love it and am a convert!

I've been using this dishwasher detergent for over a year. I have never had a problem with film on the dishes, and my dishes come out clean - unless of course, there is dried caked food on them, but then again, nothing will get that off except for elbow grease. A caveat - I always use the pre-rinse cycle on my dishwasher. works great, and I like the scent. A little on the expensive side, but highly recommended. I've heard that the company has been working on reformulating the detergent since the Consumer Reports article.Product Review: never got it!

I had to order this product twice because the first shipment was damaged in transit. I had to keep e mailing to see where it was and finally figured out that it wasn't coming. Then I had to reorder it and the second shipment was damaged in transit as well! It never came. The frustrating part was that Amazon never let me know that it wasn't coming or that it was damaged in transit. I had to keep investigating it on my own. I had to request a refund as well. Very frustrating. I do like Seventh Generation products though. Anything to help save the Earth a little is good to use.Product Review: wonderful

I'm extremely happy with this product. It leaves my dishes sparkling and very shiny - and leaves NO foul-smelling, chalky residue like the other dishwasher detergents do. I can't speak highly enough about this dishwasher gel. The grapefruit scent is really pleasing. I used to blame my dishwasher for my dishes coming out with sort of a foulness to them - now I realize it was the detergent I used to use. Seventh Generation is fabulous.
