Product Review: I was disappointed

First of all, I found that the round magnifier really limited the viewing area. Unless the text is centered, the magnifier is little help, because the round edges cause a "stretching" effect (sort of a fish-eye lens type of thing) that makes it unreadable. Although it is fairly powerful in that central sweet spot, I wish they'd chosen to use a square lens.
Most of all, though, I was disappointed because the batteries were dead in two out of the three magnifiers. I bought these for stocking stuffers, and the fact that they were supposedly illuminated was part of the appeal. They use three (!!) button batteries each, meaning that replacing the batteries in even one costs nearly as much as the entire set of three cost. For the price, I'm not going to bother to return them, but they were definitely a letdown.
