Forests are being destroyed to make toilet paper, facial tissues, paper towels and other disposable paper products. I used to buy Scott, but I can't in good conscience continue, so I am buying Seventh Generation toilet paper from Amazon. Many big brands also still use chlorine bleach, a very toxic substance containing chlorinated organic compounds and dioxins, to whiten their product when safer methods are available. I've recently learned that if every household in the United States replaced JUST ONE ROLL of virgin fiber toilet paper (500 sheets) with 100% recycled ones, we could save 423,900 trees!! If you can't afford to buy all your paper from a green producer, maybe you could just replace ONE roll each time you shop. Here is your chance to make a small change that will reap big benefits for our environment. Go to the NRDC website to see which disposable paper products use the most post-consumer recycled material and non-chlorine bleaching, and also to see how you can pressure the big paper companies to increase their post-consumer paper content.Product Review: GOOD DEAL!!

I am always shopping for the best price, and besides being lucky enough to catch Scott tissue on sale with coupons (a tricky proposition), I would have to be able to do that for 3 months at a time - with subscribe and save, I get the best price shipped to my door. LOVE IT! Not all subscribe and saves are this good of a deal, but Scott tissue is all we use.Product Review: GREAT PRODUCT AT GREAT PRICE

This TP is not that bad- certainly not as horrible as some of the descriptions. It is unscented, lasts longer (yes it does), and biodegrades well. It is not the softest TP in the world, but it is better than it use to be years ago. My mom bought this when we were growing up and i remember this stuff being like using a sheet of writing paper! It has improved over the years. The problem i have is the price! I had it so i was on subscription for 2 of these 20 packs and Amazon says that Scott no longer will provide this..... so instead of .75 a roll - which is average, not great, but average - it is now .98 a roll.... I'll look for sales first!
