It does what it says, cleans the disk. I don't know if you need, need, it. I guess windex would work. This uses isopropyl alcohol along with a rotating pad, it does not remove scratches but the disks do come out spotlessly clean.
If you are experiencing pausing and skipping I cannot say enough about SkipDr Classic; I'd give that 6 starts if I could.

I used this 3 times with great results and then my 2 year old got ahold of it and broke it in about 2 seconds. I probaly will buy another since it is so cheap.
