1st -- this scale looks awesome! Like nothing else out there. I never thought I would want to show off, or stand on a scale just because it looks cool. You stand on a round class plate that appears to float...but it's very secure.
So, other than good looks, it seems accurate. Step off, pick up a bottle of shampoo, and the scale changes a bit. Took the cat to the vet and have a good weight. Pick up the cat, and the scale difference is off by 0.2 of what math says should be correct.
Can't complain about that, considering you shouldn't worry about your weight that much. (One thing I actually like about the 0.5 scales is the lack of watching all the little fluctuations.)
Anyway -- coolest and most accurate (by my inaccurate testing methods) I've owned. Would recommend...display is secure on mine.

Excellent one. Very accurate on different floor surface. 0.2 lb is good enough to see how fast my little baby boy grows every week. The only problem is hard to wake the scale up. :( Product Review: Glass Scale

I was really excited when I finally found a scale that said it would work on carpet. My husband had the same scale for 10 years and it finally gave out, but we had it in our closet.
The Salter was not very steady on the carpet and you had to practially stomp on it to get it turned on.
Very disappointing.
