Product Review: Almost as accurate as the hospital scale!

I purchased this scale to weigh my premature son after each feeding. The decision as to which scale to buy came down to guessing which may be the most accurate. When I got the scale in I took it to the hospital where my son was born and compared it to the scale the hospital uses. This scale was extremely close in accuracy. I am very happy I chose it. This scale was always right on what our baby weighed at the doctor's office. It's good for squirming babies because the reading settles quickly and you can freeze it. You can take the trey off and use it for a toddler scale.Product Review: Inacurate.. defective

We didnt want a scale, however, we got this scale as a gift when our son was born. It seemed great at first and more or less gave accurate measurements. Then recently, when I weighed my baby over a course of a couple of weeks, his weight seemed to go down rapidly; something you never want to happen with your baby. So of course we went to the doctor and it turned out that he was fine and gaining weight normally... my husband decided to find out what was wrong with the scale, and discovered that the scale showed different weights depending on where you positioned the baby or anything else for that matter. It showed lower weight when an object was placed towards the left side, and higher weight when placed towards the right side. The correct weight was straight at the middle. The problem with this is that you need to know the exact middle of the scale and the exact middle of your baby...and thats impossible. The scale is ok as long as you dont stress the weight. Better wait for your doctor's appointment to have your baby's weight checked. Product Review: loved the scales

Great scale for newborn, once you get home from the hospital!
Especially if you have a precious little one who lost quite a bit in the first days after delivery, this scale really does the job! Why wait one whole month untill your next pediatrician appointment just to know if you baby is gaining enough weight? And it converts to a toddler scale, too!
I would recommend it to every new parent!
