These are the BEST underpads you can buy. They are very absorbent and before washing I always rinse them with vinegar in a rinse cycle in the washing machine to help protect the fibers from breakdown due to the ammonia in the urine and line dry them since dryer scorching damages the fibers as well. They are expensive, best to take care of them to get them to last a long time. These are the best available if you want to help protect from skin breakdown when urine finds its way out of the brief. I always check on my loved one during the night to keep them as dry and clean as possible. These underpads are a necessary tool if skin integrity is important to you and your loved one and helps to cut down on those middle of the night bed changes because of urine leakage. They are cooler and more confortable than laying on those disposable underpads (chuks). If you have the extra money these are the ones to get.Product Review: Works Perfectly

I bought this product for my little cat that sometimes has seizures at night in bed, and looses bladder control. This works perfect right under the comforter. She sleeps right on top & doesn't notice it underneath. Now when it happens I will only have to remove the comforter, not all the blanks & sheets too!
