Product Reviews of SIGG Reusable Bottle - Swiss Cross Touch Black 1.0L - 8025.50Product Review: Black Beauty Summary: 4 Stars
I loved this water bottle. Whenever I would pull it out at college or elsewhere for a drink it turned heads. You know they were thinking, "That is a nice bottle, better than mine." But I left it somewhere, and they must have thought the same, as when I called to ask it they had found it, they said they didn't. Although the textured black paint does scratch and is also around the mouth so it isn't the most sensual feeling.
Product Review: Black gets very hot Summary: 3 Stars
I did not realize that the bottle was not a reflective shiny black so if you leave the bottle in the sun at all it will get very hot and warm up the water inside it. Also I recommend not leaving this bottle in the car on a warm day, the water can reach just under boiling temperature. Other than that its great. The twist cap does not leak and the bottle can hold enough water for me to drink for at least half the day. Very solid product, but if you live in a sunny climate consider getting a more colour appropriate bottle that does not absorb sunlight.
-After using this bottle for a semester the paint of the bottles lip has flaked off and the white seal has black stains on it. I'm not sure were these stains came from, I only use this bottle to carry cold water. Also being a black bottle in sunny CA means that the water temperature evens out to be room temperature at best. I should have gotten a more reflective, less light absorbent, colour.
Product Review: Uber Tactical Summary: 5 Stars
It's exactly what you would expect from a sigg product. The finish is matte and textured very similar to rhino liner but much smoother. It's not insulated but it's not a thermos either. The mouth is perfectly sized to drink from. And it's an eye turner to both tactical gear junkies and yuppies alike. Replacement for a nalgene that was melted by dishwasher heater coil after years of service. Plastic free liner is a plus so I know my testicles are safe.
