Product Reviews of SI-LOC? #670 by OPTP - Sacroiliac Belt Size Small/ MediumProduct Review: Works Well ! Summary: 5 StarsI had an SI joint injury that my lower back was tilted to the left, when I wear this belt, I can see my back goes upright, in a week, my back would stay even without wearing it but I am continuing to wear it until the injury heals up completely.
It is very important to place it at the correct level to avoid riding up and hold the SI joints tight. Usually, I wear it then tighten it more and more until it is tight enough but still not too tight.
Product Review: Not for petite women with large buttocks Summary: 2 StarsI suffer from sciatica and SI pain. The reviews sounded wonderful, so I purchased one of these SI-LOC belts. I am a petite woman, about 5' 1" and weigh about 135 lbs. I have very round buttocks(mine are literally shaped like bowling balls) and this belt did not quite work for my body shape. The belt rolled up the back side of my buttocks even after tightening the belt. The belt would not stay on the sacrum (as per instructions). The more I loosened the belt, the less effective it seemed to feel. The more I tightened it, the higher up it rolled. This belt may work for others, but not for me.
Product Review: Si-Loc Belt by OPTP is Excellent. Summary: 5 StarsI find this belt excellent. The width makes it non slippery. Also it can be tightened more. Buy it if you need this type of belt. Forget about those other skinny belts. I am fully sold on it.
Product Review: If it were a little wider... Summary: 3 StarsIt's a good product, very sturdy and stable and really does the job it's meant to do; but I think it would be better if it were a bit wider, maybe 5-6 inches, to hold the SI joint as well as one hip; it tends to sit over the hip bone if it's placed to hold the SI joint, and I end up using both this belt plus a wide back belt to cover both areas.
Product Review: It worked for me! (and made in USA) Summary: 5 StarsI have SI joint dysfunction which as you know if you are reading this, is mighty painful. My sacrum is so hyper mobile that the inflammation was constant and so the exercises I was to do only aggravated the problem. After weeks of therapy I was getting worse and was so discouraged.Even a steroid injection did not help much. Then my physical therapist suggested a belt and I picked this one. It was easy to adjust and comfortable. I did not have a problem with slippage. It stayed in place. It did not show under jeans, but probably would under a very thin pant. I wore it each day during the day for one week and wow what a difference!! The inflammation went away and now the stabilization exercises are starting to work. I will use the belt when I am going to be twisting and bending--like at the grocery store, or when I have a flare up. I recommend this product!
