For the pric, i thought they were something at least usable, but after lookink closely, i understood i was wrong. First, the item was used when i arrived it had marks of batteries in the lights and the construction was poor quality as most chinneese items. The lens are also awful, the distortion is great, enormous in fact. The 4x lens are unusable and the 2x nearly that.
Go for an optivisor or for this Optical Industries Magnifying Visor for just 10 dollars.

I bought this SE MH1041LC LED Lighted Head Magnifier for one project and find myself using it several times a week. It is fantastic. I find the magnification better and clearer than any other magnifier I have ever tried. The clear magnification is not just at the center in one tiny area but the whole lens! Fantastic. True it is plastic but what do you expect for $10? Still it is extremely well made for $10. It stays on my head just fine. It is comfortable. It doesn't slip. It is adjustable to other size heads when someone else wants to use it. There are two lights on either side each powered by two AAA batteries (batteries not included) that operate independently of each other. When I purchased it I thought I was going to have to use the drop down lens in addition to the jeweler's loupe lens and my reading glasses to read the 14K marking on jewelry and such, but just the one stationary lens on this SE MH1041LC led lighted head magnifier is sufficient. I can't imagine ever being without one of these. I just sent one to my son as a housewarming gift.Product Review: Dual magnifying lens

Excellent product, love it! Great for our miniature painting hobby.
Adjustable velcro strap to fit everyone. Set magnifying lens, plus flip down magnifying lens for even more zoom... plus jewelers optical monocle if you really want to get up close and personal. Plenty of room under the visor allows me to comfortably wear my regular glasses as well. Very nice product, exactly what I needed... already plan on picking up a second one for my wife.

I purchased this item because it was very affordable. It is an excellent buy. It has adjustable velcro head band. 3 lense for multiple zoom. Both zoom is great. One is great for viewing tiny letters, the other is excellent for removing very tiny splinters. You can see grove marks in your skin really up close. A cursory visual examination makes me think this will work and be a good value. Everything positions well and both LEDs work. I think some careful bending will align the lights. As with at least one other reviewer I found that the plastic magnifying visor hits my forehead and prevents the visor from positioning properly. I'm going to try to trim it with my Dremel. If that works I may bump the rating up a little. If not I bump it down. We'll see.
