This is the 2nd one I bought. The first one died after 3 years. It did everything it was supposed to do. We used it almost every day. So it got some hard use. I would recommend this item for anyone. It is simple to use. The only thing negative about this item, is it doesn't do apples very well. It leaves some skin behind. But not enough to worry about. Very simple to remove the remaining skin. Pretty awesome piece of equipment---I do not like to manually peel potatoes and the peeler does it in no time flat- I liked it so well that I bought my daughter one and she loves it also.

place potato, slide top center pin - 2 sec
pinch cutter tool and slide to top - 1 sec
spin handle peeling potato - 7-10 sec
release top pin, cut off potato end caps, slice
I'd give it 5 stars but the plastic drive screw was broken.
It still works.
