I have never bought clippers, in fact, i've been wearing my hair long and uncut for a few years now. When I first used the remington clippers, they sliced through my thick shag giving me a bald head. they are very nice clippers and i would recommend them to anyone for home use. I've been keeping my hair really short (1/8") since last year. To keep a nice and consistent look, I end up cutting my hair about 2x times a week. This clipper does the job in much less time than any other shaver I've had in the past. Not only have the blades been sharp for several cuttings, the battery has lasted much longer (3-4 cuttings) than previous shavers.
Only one drawback -- the blade is long. A long blade is great for cutting the whole head quickly, but not as good for the edges around the ears.

I bought these clippers a year ago. They have been outstanding for that time period. The other day it stopped cutting and left me with half a haircut. Fortunately, there is a barber shop nearby and he fixed it. The blades are dull after one year. It still saved me on haircuts though.
