Product Reviews of Remington Short Cut Clipper Rechargeable, Cordless, Haircut Kit

Product Review: leaves bald patches - poor design
Summary: 2 Stars

I bought this captivated by the idea that you can clip your own hair.
Unfortunately, it leaves bald patches. Looked online for any videos to show whether we were clipping wrong, couldn't find any.
On the bright side, Customer Service was nice enough to tell me they will replace it.

Product Review: I really, really, really wanted to like this
Summary: 2 Stars

I think the idea of having a clipper that contours to the shape of your head is a great idea. However, I have owned this clipper for 8 months and although I have used it to give myself a crewcut every month, you have to go over your head three or four times to get it even.

To me that is not very userfriendly. I have been cutting my own hair for the last 5 years and this clipper just dosen't cut it. I love the idea, but it shouldn't take this long to make it even.

As I said in my title I really, really, really wanted to like it, but after using it for 8 months now unfortunately I can't recommend it. I gave it two stars because I am able to cut my hair with it, but it shouldn't be the chore it is.

For full discolsure, I used to be a professional barber.

Product Review: Flawed Design and Performance
Summary: 1 Stars

I purchased this product nearly a year ago and after having to exchange several times at Target store due to receiving defective units.
I have previously been pleased with Remington products I've purchased - this is the first I have found to be nearly useless. My hair length is typically less than 1 inch and I merely want a closer "buzz cut" and this device is not up to the task. It repeatedly stops even though fully charged and is flawed in several other ways. I have had 3 or 4 and have had the same problems with each unit, one that appears to be common with many other users. The unit has battery charging problems, "on" button problems, and cutting performance problems. I regrettably put my old device in a drawer and have purchased a competitor's product (Conair HG300 CleanHead) that works as advertised AND does what this product cannot do.

Product Review: Great hair cut, but bad battery and can't use while charging
Summary: 3 Stars

I have this trimmer/clipper for some of the same reasons mentioned... I have almost no hair on top but pleanty on the sides. I would go to get my hair cut and just get a 2 1/2 all over which suited me fine but it cost me the same as someone with a full head of hair. I found this clipper at the store and tried it out, it was an answer to my prayers... no more paying for a hair cut. I used this all the time for over a year but just a few months ago it started to loose the ability to hold a charge... the bad thing is you can't use it while it is charging. It takes forever to charge the thing than it looses the charge after one use. I would buy again only because it saved me way more than it cost in hair cuts... but it would be nice if you could use it plugged in.

Product Review: Buyer Beware
Summary: 1 Stars

Worse product I have bought from Amazon. The cut was terrible, did not cut evenly. Then the battery does not hold a charge of more than three minutes. I have had to recharge it every time I want to use it (twice in a week). Am ready to toss it in the trash.
