Product Reviews of Remington MSC-140 Men's Titanium Travel ShaverProduct Review: nice cheap razor Summary: 4 Starsthis is a nice cheap razor. i've never had an expensive razor, just cheap ones. most cheap razors in the past-i've thrown away after a few uses-bad shaves plus razor burn. this razor shaves relatively close with only mild razor burn. i use it often
Product Review: Excellent Gift Summary: 5 StarsThis is an excellent. If I need it again I will buy the same again.
Product Review: Some stubble left behind... Summary: 3 StarsLet me first say, my facial hair is medium to light. Not heavy. I usually get a lot of mileage out of most razors/shavers.
Ok, I purchased this to have something while I travel, and so I wouldn't need to lug my existing Braun home razor each time.
It was so inexpensive (which is all relative) that I purchased a second one, just in case I want to keep one at the office.
Yesterday, I shaved using my existing home Braun shaver as I do each morning. Leaving the "hard to get places" on my neck. Then I put this new disposable to the test, to clean up those loose ends. Ehhh...Mediocre at best.
This morning I did the reverse order. I started with this disposable shaver, and did the bulk of my face, leaving the difficult spots for my heavy duty full time home razor.
After several passes over the main areas with the disposable, it did give a decent shave.
However, when going over those same areas with my regular razor I noticed some clicks of hairs being shaved that the disposable missed.
In summary, it seems like no razor can easily get to the difficult spot, and this disposable seems to do an "average" job on general areas, with multiple passes.
In the past, I had a very nice compact (about the size of a wallet) foil razor (don't remember the brand, but do think it was Braun) that did a wonderful job, and was very compact and light. While this unit is light weight, it's not exactly tiny. All in all, if you needed something in an Emergency, or want to clean up some 5 o'clock shadow before heading out to dinner from the office, and found this on a store shelf, then it's reasonable for $10. However, I would not recommend making this an every trip travel razor.
Since it functions at a decent level, I'm giving it 3 stars for it's product category. For my needs I would give it 2 stars.
Product Review: It's so good, it's surprising Summary: 5 StarsI bought this shaver as a back up to my regular Remington electric. I have now used it for over 8 months almost every day. It's so superior to my regular shaver that I use it almost all the time. The cutting mechanism is somewhat slower than my other Remington, but for me, it actually shaves better. It misses less hair then the faster model and based on using it every day, it works just fine (for a multi day growth, the other one works better). This shaver actually costs less than replacing the blades alone for most electric shavers! It's a ridiculously great buy. I can not speak for the one guy who hated it (in the reviews) but dollar for dollar, I can't recall buying anything and getting such great value. I recommend it enthusiastically!
Product Review: Great Little Shaver Summary: 5 StarsThis is a great little shaver to use between shaves. Works great. Batteries last. Shaves close.
