Product Reviews of Remington HC-8017B Precision 22 Piece Corded Haircut KitProduct Review: Excellent beard trimmer Summary: 4 Stars
I originally got it to shave my head, but now use it for my beard instead (the head shaving was a failed experiment).
Overall not bad, but the blade gets really hot after about a minute of operation.
Product Review: Excellent product Summary: 5 Stars
Very easy to use. I have never used or own one before, but since I like my hair very short I though it could be a good investment. Since I bought it, more than 1 year ago, it has been flawless. Nice presentation, hard black plastic case, several guides combs, scissors, brush to clean it, etc. You do not need to lubricate the blades, it has no maintenance at all. Just plug it and is ready for the job. Clean cuts and after you have used it twice it has been paid for itself.
Product Review: Excellent product. Summary: 5 Stars
Simple use, this is my second one,
I bought one for myself and the second as a gift.
Product Review: Good Trimmer, Horrible Attachments Summary: 2 Stars
I really like the electric trimmer and still have my old one I bought four years ago. However the new style plastic attachments that are included are almost worthless. The ones I received had a limited number of `fingers' or extensions that extend from the trimmer which can cause an uneven cut. I primarily use the 1/8 & 1/4 inch attachments which only had three to four extensions.
Product Review: Good for the money but don't buy Summary: 3 Stars
I noticed a lot of people complaining about the clips breaking off. They break off on other brands as well. You are suppose to pull the tab away from the trimmer and down. They shouldn't break if done properly. If you did break them you can put some glue on them with a hot glue gun and that will hold them in place. Atleast for me. My problem is I lost my comb guide. I only use one. None of the others. They do sell replacement blades but not worth it. Like $12 for the set after shipping. That is why you shouldn't buy. The guides cost more than the clippers. They do an okay job for the $10 on sale I bought it for. Just wouldn't buy in case you loose or break one of the guides.
