Product Review: Like going to the dentist
Summary: 5 Stars

This is what a water pik should be. I bought this as a gift for my roommate and he wants to buy two more so that he can have one at his business and in his motor home. I recommend this over other water piks because of the ease of use and adjustable pressure.

This is a must for any one with perio problems. And it is so much easier to use than those clunky electric water pics that sound like cement mixers and move across the sink as you use them. This really is a breeze and very easy to control with very little practice. Some of the other reviews talk about having trouble using the tubing. I find that if you remove the irrigator tip from the hose and turn it 1/8 of an inch and reinsert the tip so that it is in the perfect position the tubing will not twist and you can get a perfect angle. After a time you know how to insert the applicator into the tubing so that it is in the perfect position every time. Getting the tap water temperature to a comfortable level is a little more of a challenge--I have learned how to hold the irrigator with one hand and adjust the faucet with the other hand. Now I can gently increase the water pressure as I use the device and keep the water at a nice warm temp. It makes sense to start at a lower pressure and pass the water through the teeth sideways to remove particles and then gently increase pressure and aim more deeply into the pockets to "exercise" the gums and clean more deeply. Now I cannot imagine not having this device. And it is small enough to pack in a suitcase. I am planning on buying a second one for travel so I don't to remove it from the faucet every time I go on a trip.

RediBreeze Oral Irrigator dental water jet is great!! It's always hooked up to my faucet in the bathroom, and I can use it anytime without worrying about waking up my husband--no noise, just running water--not like the water pic which is loud."

Product Review: Messy, ticklish, pulsation better.
Summary: 3 Stars

This was my first experience with an oral irrigator & wow, is it a messy learning curve. It took me about a week trying twice a day to finally get mostly comfortable with it. Plus, I'm not a ticklish person but I found the spray insanely ticklish!! The nice features are the water temperature & pressure control you get from connecting it to your faucet, and it's pretty quiet. The only serious drawback that I'd be concerned about, is that all the studies I've read & clinical periodontal books recommend pulsating action irrigators because they improve the tissue health the most. An irrigator's benefit is not from removing plaque, I can feel plaque still on my teeth afterwards no matter how high I crank the pressure, but rather from the massage/flushing action. Will I still use it? Yes, but I'd also be open to trying other models. Carranza's Clinical Periodontology

Product Review: Multi purpose product
Summary: 5 Stars

Been using a Waterpik for a couple of years and it never really worked right...always had to fiddle with the water container to get it to flow at full power. No container with the RediBreeze since it hooks right to the faucet. Once you get the hang of how to use it after a couple of tries, its no brainer easy and it works just fantastic. Here's the cool part...I hooked it to my bathroom faucet for a couple of days and then realized that if I attached it to my kitchen faucet I could not only use it as an oral irrigator but also use it as a mini pressure washer for cleaning out drinking bottles and whatever else needed a super strong stream of pressurized hot water. I even stuck it down in the garbage disposal (not when it was on!) and swished it around to pressure wash the gunk built up in it. Is there no end to its use?!
