We have been using RealSalt for a few years and will continue. These pouches are convenient and priced less than our local health food store. I have always felt that salt is salt is salt.... my husband however is another story all together. He brought a number of his own customs to our marriage and Real Salt Sea Salt was one of them. He won't use anything else and scowls ferociously at all other inferior salts I've tried to introduce to our kitchen over the years. I will give him this... the Real Salt does taste better than any of the other stuff out there, but it is a bit more expensive than the plebian grocery store stuff. I finally decided it's worth the price difference if he's happy and cooking (means I don't have to!) The fact that I can find this stuff on Amazon AND use our Prime shipping totally made my day!Product Review: Wonderful stuff!

I've been using RealSalt for a year or more, as well as several other brands of sea salt, and RealSalt is one of the finest I've tried. I like using this salt for cooking, and use the RealSalt Kosher salt (also available here, I think) as a finishing salt - for sprinkling on food at the table. The kosher variety has a larger grain size than the plain RealSalt, and a slightly mellower flavor. I still use the other brands as well when I want a different flavor profile. All of the standard salt in the kitchen now goes for salting pasta water, since it's flavor doesn't compare.Product Review: World's Best Salt

I've been a loyal Real Salt user since 1995, and I've converted countless friends to it. I don't prepare meals without it, and I never leave home without it. That's right, I have a travel-size Real Salt with me at all times, whether in my coat pocket, briefcase or travel bag. Once you taste it, you never want to deal with refined table salts or refined sea salts ever again. Compared to Real Salt, they taste so harsh and bitter. When I first began seeing one of the doctors who has been most helpful with my chronic health issues, he did an assessment. One of the first things he checked was whether my body was dehydrated, or not. It was - even though I drank over 80 oz. of high quality water per day. He explained that it is necessary to also consume salt so your body can properly metabolize the water. Good quality salt - not "regular" table salt. There are quite a few good, pure mineral laden salts available these days fortunately. I've found that this product "Real Salt" is one of the most readily available and economical. It also has quite a pleasant taste - not overly salty. I carry a cannisted in my purse as well as using it in our cooking and dining. I highly recommend this product.
