Recently I had to start wearing hearing aids. I was very concerned about it because I listen to a lot of music and review a lot of classical music CDs here at Amazon. I didn't want anything that would distort what I was hearing. The process of fitting and adjusting the aids was a lot easier process than I had imagined it would be. And the aids I bought are so programmable that with a little experimentation I found a perfect set-up for me. I was told that the batteries would last about 10-14 days, depending on a number of factors--how long I wore the aids each day, and how loud I had the aids turned up. Well, my first battery went out at 11 days. It was a snap to get a new one out of the dispenser that my audiologist had supplied me. I noticed, for the first time, that he had given me Rayovac Proline 13A batteries. I figure if that's what he recommends that's what I'll use. I was shocked at how little they cost--about 62 cents per battery. And that's why I'm making this recommendation here.
