Product Reviews of Rayovac NM715-8 Rechargeable NiMH AA Batteries, 8-Count PackageProduct Review: Better Rechargeables Summary: 5 StarsI recently read a review declaring longer life out of the competitors NiMHs. From personal experience, I can say that is not the case. Quite unintentionally, I purchased batteries with chargers from 3 different companies over the past few years and have had some time to use them on a regular basis in Wii-motes, digital cameras, and portable recorders. The Rayovac AAs last longer per charge, and have a better over all battery life. I suspect the better quality of the charger has something to do with that.
Product Review: This is a must have Summary: 5 StarsThese batteries are awesome...it's saved me a lot of money purchasing regular alikine batteries. Everyone uses AA batteries...wither it's their wall clocks, their remote controls, their MP3 players, cordless keyboards/mouse, digital cameras, or even the old 35mm cameras, etc. Some companies sell their proprietary rechargeble packs that can cost over $30, but really, all you need is this and the charging dock and just pop these into what ever you need them for. I've had mine for years, they have a long charging life, and I've only had one or two that have lost it's life cycle (can't hold a charge). Also, these are more environmentally friendly since you're not throwing as much electrial waste away.
Product Review: Average batteries Summary: 2 StarsI bought these batteries a while ago as a replacement for some old no-name rechargeable batteries. I was highly dissapointed. Whereas my generic rechargeable batteries used to last a long time, these do not. The Rayovac batteries have to be constantly recharged even when used in remote controls or clocks. Cameras dry up these batteries extremely fast. I basically have to recharge the batteries every time I want to use the camera. The batteries don't seem to charge completely. I seem to be recharging the batteries on my clock about once a month and the ones in the remote controls about once every 3 months.
I don't reccomend these batteries as they efficient nor practical as you will be recharging them over and over. Thus, you will be spending more energy than you normally would.
Product Review: Works great for my Dish DVR remote Summary: 5 StarsWanted rechargeable batteries and these seem to last forever in my heavily used DVR remote.
Product Review: Powerful, last longer than normal batteries between charges Summary: 5 StarsGreat batteries for high drain needs. I have a mouse that eats batteries in two days, but my rayovacs actually outlast non-rechargeables and so far have been recharged about 50 times each without issue. I've used the competitors products and been far less impressed, this includes the old rechargeable alkalines and the newer versions. These, as well as the rayovac 15 minutes c3 rechargeables really do the job for cameras and handheld electronics. You can pair these with one of those emergency cell phone chargers to get extra talk time on trips.
One note, they aren't as great for long term products like smoke alarms etc., they lose some charge just sitting around. I only get about 6-12 months between charges with my TV remote. Still, I haven't bought a new battery in 5 years. I just keeping cycling through the dozen of these I own.
