Quickie makes an excellent corn broom that has several uses; I really like this product and I never would have even known about it had my dad not mentioned it to me. The broom, of course, can be used inside the home to sweep; it does an especially good job sweeping "hard surface" flooring such as hardwood floors, tile and the laminate flooring I have in my home.
In addition, I discovered another use for this type of broom. Where I live, we get snow--and yesterday, we got lots of it! I found the broom to be very helpful when clearing off the heavy snow from my car. The broom can really reach much further than a smaller brush can reach; and that made it faster to get heavy snow off my car this afternoon.
The only negative I can think of is that I did notice that a few strips of the broom (the strips made from corn) fell off as I put it into the back seat of my car after buying it and again this afternoon as I cleared the snow off my car. However, this isn't too serious as I only lost a couple of strips each time.
I recommend this broom for cleaning inside the home, sweeping sidewalks and other surfaces outside the home--and even for cleaning snow off cars after a bad snowstorm when smaller brushes just can't let you reach far enough to remove large amounts of snow.
