I had been having stomach troubles that felt like they were caused by too much acid. But after taking prilosec otc and that not helping, i read that those types of stomach pains could also be caused by a systemic candida infection. I am a good candidate for a systemic candida infection - I took antibotics for several years to get rid of my acne (which in the end did not work and made my acne worse). I also read that even if you take this enzyme, you should also eliminate all kinds of food from your diet to get rid of the candida. That has been too difficult for me so far to do completely, but since taking this, my acid like stomach pain did go away. HOWEVER, after 1 to 2 weeks of starting candex, I was waking up at night with severe abdominal pains, different than the other pain I was trying to get rid of. After looking online at candex side effects, I read that this could happen because of the process, so i continued the morning dose but eliminated the before bed-time dose, and thankfully those severe abdominal pains went away and the sour stomach did not return.
FYI, I also have gluten intollerence, which could also be related to systemic candida. Unfortunately, many doctors have so little knowledge of either problem that many of us, depending on where we live and quality of insurance, etc..., may have to be on our own finding solutions to our pains and symptoms.

I periodically have a yeast problem after I am prescribed infection fighters, so I try to keep it controlled. Using various supplements over the years I have been okay with their effectiveness. I have been taking this product for almost a month and I really can't believe the results I have. Full disclosure, I changed my diet totally (no sugar, grains, alcohol, dairy) a week or two before I started so I can't totally know which is helping more, but I feel way, way better. I had had symptoms of "systemic yeast" (yes I know how controversial it is) after tons of antibiotic as a child. At this point I have felt a significant difference in my stomach issues, "foggy" thinking and joint pain. In addition I am sleeping like a baby for the first time in years. I feel like it is helping me a lot and am very grateful because I feel the best I have in years.
