Product Reviews of Prowash Activewear 2X Liquid Detergent, 24-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 3)Product Review: I really put this to the test, and it worked Summary: 4 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I really put this to the test, as I laundered this huge fake fur blanket that has been used as a bed by my dog for awhile. To make it worse, he'd gotten into a skunk or some horrid smelling thing. I had to lather him 6 times or so to get the smell off him, but one wash of this with a bit extra in it (I used 1 1/2 ounces) got the smell right off the blanket! I was SO glad to have this or that blanket would have had to have been trashed. I do highly recommend this for solving smelly laundry problems because I had great success with it.
There were, however, a few things I did NOT like about it. It was too thin (as compared to most conventional detergents) so do be careful pouring it or you may accidentally waste it. It said that there was a built in measuring device, but gosh I could not find it or figure it out. I ended up pouring it into an old laundry cap to measure it. I find it is too expensive for everyday use for our budget, but it is definitely an item I want to keep around for laundry emergencies. I found the instructions for measuring it a bit inconvenient and confusing, and I wasted some time trying to figure it out to no avail, and that is why I give it a 4 and not a 5.
Product Review: Impressive cleaning power! Summary: 5 Stars

The first time I used this was for a load of "yard-work" clothes that were soiled with dirt and some grass stains. I pre-treated the stains (as the package directs) and used the prescribed amount of detergent in warm water. The results were very good. The stains were old and set-in, so they didn't come out completely, but they had definitely faded down to almost gone. (The load wasn't particularly "stinky" so I can't comment on odor control as some other reviewers have.)
The next load was a load of new white towels, one of which had a makeup stain. Pre-treated, used hot water, and voila! Stain gone.
The packaging is lightweight, and easier to handle than a typical heavy jug of detergent.
Overall, I'm impressed with the cleaning power, the packaging, and the pleasant smell.
I'll definitely continue to use it!
Product Review: It works at ridding work-out clothes of that funky smell but so does vinegar, at a fraction of the price. Summary: 3 Stars

I am an avid bicyclist. Most of my biking clothing is constructed of polyester of various types to provide wicking of sweat. The problem with polyester (including microfleece produts) is that over time they acquire a smelly funk that is nearly impossible to get rid of using just a conventional laundry detergent and/or hot water. Several washing products have been developed over the years in the attempt to effectively clean this type of clothing. ProWash Activewear Detergent is one of those products.
It's a liquid concentrate (2x) that is either supposed to be used on its own, in conjunction with your regular detergent, or as a pre-treatment. I found that it worked as advertised and was quite effective at removing the difficult funky smell that my workout and bicycling clothing had acquired. The fragrance of the product is not objectionable to me in any way and I am not one who likes heavy fragrances in products. My nose was not offended in any way whatsoever with the smell of this product.
What I do not like about ProWash is the packaging. It is, quite frankly, ridiculous. It is essentially a self-standing, flexible pouch. Looks great but in practice it is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to use as intended. You are instructed to squirt out the suggested amount of liquid into your washing machine and use the "dispensing window" on the back side of the package as a gauge. Well, that is ridiculous because as soon as you take the cap off and tip the package, liquid immediately begins to squirt out and the "dispensing window" lines can no longer be used as a gauge since the package is upside-down and probably sideways as well. So it becomes a guessing game. You squirt a little, tip the package back up and look at the level of liquid to see how many "lines" you've used. The other method is to measure out an ounce per "unit" of needed concentrate. This would be the preferred method in my opinion.
So, the stuff works, but at a very steep cost. Would I buy it again? No. For my money, nothing gets the stink out of athletic wear, musty bath towels, kitchen towels or other exercise clothing, better than simply adding a cup of white vinegar to your wash. Vinegar? Yes, vinegar. Try it, you'll be amazed. Contrary to what you might think, it does not leave any after-smell of vinegar and it completely removes the funky smell out of my clothing as well as any high priced product. Vinegar is cheap by the gallon and works very very well. For a smallish load, I'll simply add a cup of vinegar right along with detergent as the washer fills with water. You can also put a cup of vinegar into your fabric softener dispenser so that it is dispensed during the rinse cycle. I've done it both ways and both ways work. Give it a shot, or if you want to spend a lot of money and get the same result, buy this ProWash.
My lower rating considers the fact that the packaging makes it difficult to measure the appropriate amount of liquid, a big factor for me. the other main consideration for me was product cost... it is expensive compared to alternatives. Both of these factors make me rate this 3 stars. If cost of the product is not a factor for you, then my rating would be 4 stars.
Pros:
-works as advertised
-pleasant smell
-has a guarantee of product satisfaction
Cons:
-Cost per ounce is high
-difficult to measure directly out of the package

This Pro wash is okay...it does leave you fleece wear and similar items feeling nice......and the fabric itself looks nice.....my downside it that it DID NOT REMOVE STAINS.
Our fleece and similar products are for real active people. My husband especially is prone to having stains ....from foods and sweat ect.
These stains were not as removed as my regular detergents usually left them. I could quite easily see the difference.
I personally would not be buying this detergent for this reason....but if you just wear your fleece and warm-ups and what have you lightly..and do not have family members that sweat or really work out--then this may be for you.
Product Review: It's detergent, what can I say... Summary: 3 Stars

This product worked fine. I did not actually observe a noticeable difference from my normal detergent. The Prowash does leave laundry with a bit of a "fresh" smell but not overpowering. I usually use unscented/free detergents and prefer my clean laundry to have no smell, so I don't think I would use the Prowash because of its residual smell.
The Prowash packaging has pros and cons. I love that there is less packaging compared to the large plastic bottles of standard detergent and the bags are easy to store. However, it is difficult to "dose" the amount of detergent into the washing machine by looking at the marks on the side of the bag since you need to add some then set the bag upright to check the level. This could easily be solved by just using a measuring cup to give the desired amount.
The Prowash seemed to do an adequate job at removing odors from laundry. But I have found that adding some Oxiclean along with my normal detergent works well for me. I also prefer to use a natural detergent with lower impact on the environment. As far as I know, Prowash makes no such claims. I will continue to use my standard detergents.
